YUKONS FINEST

"Yukon's Finest" is more than a painting—it's a tribute to the untamed spirit of the North. Inspired by a journey through the breathtaking landscapes of the Yukon in mid-October 2022, this artwork captures the raw beauty and majesty of one of Canada’s most iconic creatures: the bull moose. Just days before the land was blanketed in winter’s first snow, I traveled with my son, Dallas, through the wilds of Whitehorse. Every turn in the road revealed another striking scene, each one begging to be captured. My camera never rested, and neither did my inspiration.

This painting is a reflection of that adventure—of crisp autumn air, golden light filtering through boreal forests, and the silent presence of a moose standing like a monarch of the North. It holds not only the essence of the land but also the unforgettable memories of a father and son exploring the wild together.
