It was late fall of 2023 here in northern Alberta where I witnessed a large male grizzly guarding a partially buried moose carcass, reigniting once again the urge to visit this artistic concept. This is my third interpretation of this scene over the years, but in this case I used my artistic license to portray the bear in a much more aggressive and menacing posture to help spice up the mood.
