Back in 1998 I spent two glorious weeks deep in the wilds of the Yukon. The time of year was September as this vast landscape was rapidly changing from summer greens to autumn golds and reds. Amongst the many animals I encountered, this wolf was one that left a lasting impression, thus the painting "Above the Ridge" was born.
Much to my delight, this piece later found its way on the cover of the Yukon phone directory. ~Des McCaffrey
